Sister: "You should learn to do a yoga move!"
Me: "Ok, which one?"
Sister: "Side Crow Pose."
Me: "Sure, whatever."
Look at this:
Mother of God--what did I get myself into? Have any of you even imagined this before?!
What was for breakfast? Oriental Rug. And for lunch? The same.
This is what I learned today:
If you have an empty stomach, an empty room, and no one watching, I highly encourage you to try it. Just remember that balance is more important than strength. Neither of which I have.
**I'd love to see a non yoga instructor do this. This is a challenge.
Let's Learn Some Constellations ►
BAHAHAHA. That just made my morning. Valiant attempt, Alex. Keep on truckin!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep practicing. I'll get it right eventually
ReplyDeleteI am not going to try this one at home... but just so I have a reference point... are you implying that your sister can actually do this, or is she just suggesting fantastic (and potentially dangerous) things that you should try to do?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if my sister can do this, I'll have to ask her when she gets home. But if I had to pick between the two, I'd guess the latter.
ReplyDeleteRobbi says that this is pretty similar to the break dance moves that he was learning... you may want to try a "baby freeze" first... it is basically the same thing, but your head is a third point of contact on the floor, and the legs go higher up.
ReplyDeleteThis make me think that I need to get Robbi enrolled in a yoga course!
I inadvertently did the "baby freeze" a few times which made it look like I was doing the side crow. I'll practice both moves though.
ReplyDeletedude-- this is pretty good for not having experience. i don't even think i can do that and i've been to a few classes. ahhhh.
ReplyDeleteThanks Becky. I've been to a couple classes as well but we did nothing as hard as this.
ReplyDeleteGood try, bro. :P
